I hope everyone enjoyed Mother’s Day! It is a beautiful tradition to intentionally spend time with and express gratitude for the women that make us who we are. I want to take the opportunity to send so much love out to all the mothers in our Restore Yoga School community. Thank you all for your support in this journey. Many of you have a wonderful mom vibe, and it is inspiring!
There is one mom to whom I wish send some extra love, my MOM. It took becoming a mother to fully appreciate my mother. Prior to entering motherhood myself, I focused on the things my mom did that bothered me. It was very angsty teen of me, sorry mom! Thanks for loving me anyway.
As I raise my boys, I find new appreciation for my mom for every day. The feeding, diaper changing, planning birthday parties, running a saxophone to the school over lunch, washing basketball uniforms multiple times a week… it is a really long list. Not only did she do all these things, but she taught me everything I know about being a mom. She taught me how to make a little one truly feel special, how to approach any problem as solvable, how to treat others with love and respect… again the list goes on. Thanks mom. I love you! (I better stop before my keyboard gets too wet. Lol)
I would also like to send extra love to those who have lost a mother, mothers who have lost a child, those who long to be a mother, and all who have unique hurts that surface on this day!
In our yoga practice, Mother’s Day is a great time to invite in a little extra gratitude and unconditional love. Please bring your mom (or women near and dear to your heart) to yoga this week! We have a second weekly opportunity to practice yoga!
